End-to-end management of the confectionery kitchen
- production of bulk products
- management of production processes
- planning production needs
- ordering and receiving of stock
- meeting food cost requirements
- minimise waste
- meeting reporting requirements
- liaising with department heads
- managing day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure compliance with all regulations
- undertake regular stocktakes
- recipe planning and testing
- staff supervision, where required
- maintaining cleanliness
- adhering to health and safety requirements
- At New Farm Confectionery we are a small family and all work together to contribute to successful outcomes. There is an expectation that for all major events that we, as a family come together and take on additional responsibilities to deliver a successful event.
- Other duties as required from time to time
- fully qualified chef - Certificate 3 in Hospitality as a minimum
- 4 years full time experience as a working chef
- food Handling & Safety Supervisor
- current driver’s licence
- extensive experience in ordering, rostering and budgeting
- recipe writing, testing and editing experience
- competent in IT skills with the ability to learn new software packages quickly
- a strong commitment and enthusiasm
- energetic, positive and proactive
- ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- strong communications skills and the ability to build relationships
- ability to coordinate administration and other projects in a time pressured environment
- excellent attention to detail and a strong customer service approach
- Available Mon-Fri full time
- You must be are legally allowed to work full-time in Australia and are not on a short-term visa
